Beehiiv dropped its single flat-rate paid plan and replaced it with a three-tier structure. The entry price for a paid plan went up, and a new, more expensive tier appeared above it.

The old single paid tier is gone. In its place, beehiiv now sells two paid tiers: Lite at $49/mo (a $6/mo increase over the old $43/mo entry price) and a new Pro tier at $95/mo for creators who need more subscribers, seats, or publications than Lite allows.

Who's Affected

• Creators who were paying $43/mo for the old single plan. The equivalent new entry-level paid tier, Lite, lists at $49/mo — a $6/mo (14%) increase at list price. Existing customers may or may not be grandfathered; beehiiv's pricing page does not state a grandfathering policy, so anyone on the old plan should check their account billing page directly.
• Newsletters with 2,500–100,000 subscribers evaluating beehiiv for the first time. They now land on the $49/mo Lite tier instead of the old $43/mo plan.
• Larger operations (multiple publications, bigger teams, or up to 250,000 subscribers). They now have a named Pro tier ($95/mo) instead of having to contact sales or outgrow the single old plan.

What to Do

• Already on the old $43/mo plan: check your beehiiv billing page for your current rate before assuming it changed — the public pricing page does not confirm whether existing subscriptions were migrated to the new $49/mo price.
• Evaluating beehiiv now: budget for $49/mo (Lite) if you're under 100,000 subscribers and need more than 1 team seat or 1 publication; budget for $95/mo (Pro) if you need up to 250,000 subscribers, 10 publications, or unlimited guest authors.
• Staying on Free: no action needed — the Free tier (up to 2,500 subscribers, 1 seat, 1 publication) is unchanged in structure, still $0.
