Cursor renamed and restructured its entire subscription lineup, and the new tiers don't just change prices — they bundle Grok AI products and X (formerly Twitter) social features directly into the coding subscription, sharing one AI usage pool across both.

What Changed

Our observatory flagged a change on Cursor's pricing page during the week of 2026-W43. We re-checked the live page on 2026-10-19 to confirm it.

Before (observatory crawl, week 2026-W43)Now (verified 2026-10-19, cursor.com/pricing)
Plan namesPro, Pro+, Ultra (self-serve), Teams, EnterpriseFree, Plus, Premium, Super, Ultra (self-serve), Teams, Enterprise
Entry paid planPro — $20/mo, CTA "Get Pro," "No credit card required"Plus — $8/mo, CTA "Get Plus." Plan copy: "Only Grok models are available on this plan"
Mid tierNot separately listed in this capturePremium — $30/mo, marked "Most popular." Includes Cloud agents & automations, code hosting via Origin, AI code reviews via Bugbot, and third-party models at API list price
Upper tiersPro+, Ultra (prices not captured in this diff)Super $100/mo, Ultra $200/mo — same coding features as Premium, plus more usage and priority/early access
Teams$40/user/mo. Bullets: centralized team billing, team marketplace for internal rules/skills/plugins, cloud agents with shared team context, usage analytics, team-wide privacy mode$30+/user/mo (floor price down $10). Renamed bullets: team management/centralized billing, usage analytics, team-wide privacy settings, mix and match seat types, SCIM seat management
EnterpriseCustom pricing; bullet "SCIM seat management"Custom pricing; SCIM now listed as Teams/Enterprise, plus invoice/PO billing, granular spend controls
Non-coding featuresNone listedEvery tier (including Free) now lists "Post, reply, and follow" (X); Plus and up add "Ad-free scrolling on most surfaces," "Preferred @handle," "Higher reply boost," Grok Chat/Imagine/Voice/Build/Bot
Recommendation copy"We recommend Pro+ for daily agent users, and Ultra for agent power users. The Teams plan is recommended for professionals collaborating with others, and larger organizations that need invoicing, pooled usage, or advanced security should choose Enterprise.""We recommend Premium for new AI users, Super for daily agent users, and Ultra for power users. Plus is recommended for social creators with limited AI usage. The Teams plan is recommended for professionals collaborating with others, and larger organizations that need invoicing, pooled usage, or advanced security should choose Enterprise."

The live page's own FAQ confirms the bundling isn't a display glitch: "Every tier includes a pool of AI usage shared across Cursor and Grok. Within Grok, the pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, and Bot." A single usage allowance now covers both your coding agent requests and your Grok/X activity.

Who's Affected

  • Existing Pro ($20/mo) subscribers. There is no plan on the new page priced at $20/mo — the nearest coding-capable tier is Premium at $30/mo (a $10/mo, 50% increase), while Plus at $8/mo is cheaper but, per its own plan copy, offers "only Grok models" rather than Cursor's full model lineup. The pricing page does not state how existing Pro subscriptions were migrated.
  • Developers who don't use or want X/Grok features. Every tier now carries "Post, reply, and follow" and a shared Cursor+Grok usage pool — there's no option to pay for coding agent access without the social/Grok bundle.
  • Teams customers. The per-seat floor dropped from $40/user/mo to $30+/user/mo, a $10/mo decrease, though the "+" suggests the price can scale above $30 depending on seat mix.
  • Enterprise customers. Still custom-quoted; SCIM seat management, invoice/PO billing, and granular spend controls are confirmed as Enterprise features on the new page.

What to Do

  • Currently on Pro: check your Cursor account billing page directly — the public pricing page doesn't state a grandfathering policy, and the $20/mo price no longer appears anywhere on the live page.
  • Only want coding features, not Grok/X: there is currently no way to opt out of the shared usage pool or the X social features on any listed tier; factor the bundled cost into your comparison against competitors.
  • Evaluating Cursor now for a team: budget $30+/user/mo for Teams (down from $40) if you need Cursor's dev features without Premium/Super/Ultra's larger individual usage pools.

No Grok/social bundling — the cheapest paid tier with full coding-agent access is less than a third of Cursor's Premium price.

Windsurf — windsurf.com/pricing now returns a permanent (308) redirect to devin.ai/pricing, which itself returned a 404 at the time of this check (source: windsurf.com/pricing → devin.ai/pricing, captured 2026-10-19). [NON VÉRIFIÉ — omitted] for Windsurf/Devin's current plan prices; treat Windsurf as a tool to re-verify before recommending.
